Amy & Tom's Summer Wedding at Irnham Hall

11th July 2026

Some weddings just feel easy.

From the moment I arrived at Irnham Hall, there was a relaxed atmosphere that carried right through the day. The sun was shining, guests were out enjoying the gardens, and Amy and Tom were simply excited to get married. It was one of those weddings where everything seemed to fall into place.

Irnham Hall is an incredible venue for a summer wedding. With its beautiful gardens, historic buildings and light-filled orangery, there are so many different spaces that make every part of the day feel unique.

An Outdoor Ceremony in the Sunshine

July really delivered.

Amy and Tom exchanged their vows outside under blue skies, surrounded by their closest family and friends. It was a lovely, intimate ceremony filled with smiles, laughter and a few emotional moments that perfectly reflected the two of them.

Outdoor ceremonies always have a slightly different feel. They're relaxed, guests naturally settle into the surroundings, and everyone seems to slow down and enjoy the moment.

Cocktails on the Lawn

Once the confetti had settled, everyone made their way onto the lawn for cocktails and plenty of conversation in the sunshine.

This is one of my favourite parts of any wedding to photograph. There's no schedule to think about for a little while, everyone is catching up, drinks are flowing, and the best candid moments happen naturally.

It's these photographs that often end up meaning the most years later because they're completely unplanned.

The Orangery

The celebrations continued inside the beautiful orangery for the wedding breakfast.

Filled with natural light and overlooking the gardens, it's such a lovely space for speeches, great food and those moments where everyone can properly relax together. The atmosphere throughout the afternoon was warm, fun and full of laughter.

As a photographer, venues with plenty of natural light are always a dream to work in, and the orangery at Irnham Hall certainly didn't disappoint.

Making the Most of the Evening Light

Before the evening celebrations really got going, we slipped away for ten minutes to wander around the grounds.

You don't need hours away from your guests to create beautiful portraits. A short walk, great light and a couple who are simply enjoying being together is more than enough.

The golden evening sun gave us the perfect backdrop before Amy and Tom headed straight back to the party.

A Day to Remember

Amy and Tom's wedding wasn't about complicated timelines or endless formalities. It was simply about bringing together the people they love, enjoying an incredible summer's day and celebrating from start to finish.

Those are always my favourite weddings to photograph.
